Welcome to Clarksville
Welcome to Clarksville Historic District, a beautiful neighborhood just west of downtown, and a part of Old West Austin (including Old Enfield and Tarrytown). Home to some of the most sought after properties in Austin--and less common for them to become available, as residents who move here, tend to stay here. Many of these homes have been carefully preserved and restored from when they were built in the early 1900’s.
Clarksville has an Old-timey American feel, mixed with the modernity that comes with the growing downtown. Along West Lynn, you will find Nau’s drugstore with a rare still operating soda fountain. Just across the street,
Jeffrey’s, one of Austin’s best fine dining restaurants. You can find beautiful high quality plants at Sledd’s Nursery, and the best cappuccinos at Cafe Medici. Clarksville was also home to the founder of Clarksville Natural Foods, which later became the first Whole Foods!
Most of Clarksville is less than a mile from Lamar, where there’s plenty more shopping, food, and fun. Only a mile from the very center of downtown you're at the heart of everything Austin has to offer. You truly get the best of both worlds in Clarksville, with a historical elegant neighborhood right in the middle of all the action.
